Google Local for Law Firms!

Google Local shows more results, usually about 10, appear at the top of the page before the regular search results. On the good side, the local results now appear to be similar to the organic results. This opens the door for your law firm to get on the first page of google without having great organic results. If your listing is optimized properly you will be able to leap into the top 10 local results and be displayed at the top of the first page above the organic listings.

So make sure that you have an accurate local listing.

Do I need a Car Accident Lawyer?

Every state in the US has its own set of car accident laws. It is difficult for the average citizen to be aware of and understand how each of these laws might affect their case. Car accidents seem to have its own law depending upon the state the accident occurs in. So it usually is a great idea to hire a car accident attorney if you are ever involved in a car accident.

Car accident law often depends on who caused the accident. If both or more then two parties are two blame for the accident then it also could depend on who should get the most blame for the accident. If you want to file your own car accident claim, then you better have an excellent understanding of your state's car accident laws work and if not then I'd recommend hiring an auto accident attorney.

What to Ask When Selecting a Mesothelioma Lawyer

Since there is a lot of money to be made in a mesothelioma case you have to watch out for scammers. A typical mesothelioma settlement award will be at least $1 million and if the case actually goes to trial the average award is $6 million. Therefore, it is important that people who have mesothelioma be very careful when selecting an attorney and hire a qualified mesothelioma lawyer to represent their case. Here are some questions that should be asked before selecting a mesothelioma attorney:

1. What is your personal experience in representing mesothelioma patients? (Find out how many cases the attorney has actually handled. How many were settled? How many went to trial?)

2. Ask if the mesothelioma lawyer actually intends to handle your case himself. Sometimes they just refer you to another lawyer and collect a fee.

3. Ask how the attorney fee's will be handled. The trial could take many months sometimes even years so it is going to be important to find out how the attorney fee's will be handled. Most of the time these mesothelioma cases the lawyer will only be paid if the case is settled successfully.

4. Find out what is involved in a mesothelioma lawsuit. Get an overview of the process and find out anything that you will need to do. Also this will give you a good sense about the lawyer.

Be careful when selection a mesothelioma lawyer. You want to have a lawyer you can trust and one that will get you the compensation that you deserve.

How Do You Find Good Divorce Lawyer?

When looking for a good divorce attorney, it's more than just searching through the lawyer ads in the yellow pages or the news paper. Divorce is an emotional roller coaster for all parties involved so it's important to hire an attorney you can trust. You really need to do your research and find an attorney with family law experience. Don't just pick any old lawyer, make sure you select someone who's main focus is in divorce and family law.

Here are a few tips:
  • Talk to friends and family. Ask what attorneys they would recommend or avoid.
  • Contact attorneys you have worked with before and ask for a referral for someone specializes in family or divorce law.
  • Contact your county and state bar associations. They usually have a list of responsible attorneys and they will be able to recommend for you.
  • Make a list of what you are looking for in a divorce lawyer. Do you prefer to work with a male or female attorney? Young or old? etc...
  • Meet with a few attorneys offering a free appointment, so you can get an idea of how they would approach your case.
  • Request references. If you were not referred by someone you know and trust, ask the lawyer for the names of past or current clients you may call for references.
  • Ask a lot of questions in order to get a feel for the lawyer and make sure you are totally comfortable with them.
